Dog Food Recall

Mars Petcare US issued a voluntary recall of their Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak and Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food in the 44 lb bag.

The best-buy date on the bag is March 4, 2025, and the Lot Code is 410B2TXT02.  You can find this information on the back of the dog food bag on the bottom seal.  This particular lot was sold at Walmart in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

This particular type and size could have loose metal pieces in the bag.    Metal pieces are the last things you want your dogs to ingest and could be hazardous. If you have this brand of dog food with the lot number and best-buy date and believe that your dog might have ingested metal pieces.  Keep an eye on them for unusual behavior or consult your veterinarian for any concerns.

Have any dogs gotten sick?

At this time, the company has not received any reports of pets being sick or injured due to eating the recalled product.
